Hard Water Filters

Hard water is a problem for millions of households across this country, and what many do not know is that treating hard water is something that is relatively easy, in most cases, and it doesn’t even have to be expensive. Whether you are annoyed by the hard water stains that build up in your shower or tub, or you just want cleaner water for your home or apartment — solutions are available to give you better tasting, and better feeling, water.

Kitchen water treatment — water filters

There are a few different types of water filtration systems for kitchens: countertop water filters, undercounter water filters, and pitcher water filters. Each has their place, and depending on the amount of water you plan on filtering, one option may look better over the other.

If you simply want to filter your drinking water, you may opt for the pitcher water filters as this would be the most economical choice — many of these filters run less than $30 each, and will help you to eliminate the hard water taste from your drinking water for one month to several months, depending on your usage.

If you want to filter your cooking water as well as your drinking water — chances are that you may be better off with an under-counter or above-counter water filtration system. These are costlier initially, but the filters generally allow you to filter more water per filter change, which can save you money in the long run.

Hard water treatments for bathrooms

If you hate the less-than-clean feeling that you get after taking a nice, hot shower, or what was supposed to be a relaxing bath — you’re not alone. Harsh water “cleanings” really do not lead to that “all over clean” feeling, as you well know. However, there are affordable ways to not only help minimize hard water staining, but that will soften your shower and/or bath’s water so that you can feel better after your shower.

Now, if you want the most “bang for your buck”, so to speak, there are products, such as the Aquasana kitchen and shower combo pack that will give you cleaner drinking water and a better, more satisfying clean in your shower or bath, in one package. Instead of buying several different products to help you combat your hard water problem, one product, from a well-known water filtration company, we might add, allows you to save money by buying several types of products at once.
