Resolved Question: how can i fix my fiberglass, plastic tub surround?

i started cleaning the tub surround , it has hard water stains over the years and i don’t know what else, i begain by using a citrus paint stain remover to get off old paint an i sanded it which caused me to remove a lot of the coating so now i have a two toned tub surround and i’m not sure how to fix it . i’m a renter and not allowed to remove it . can i continue sanding it and use a polyurothane with a matte finish after sanding it to fix it ? please help i messed up. than you.
