Resolved Question: new well – yellow & metallic-smelling water?

we recently had a new well drilled. its depth is 130 feet. the water is yellow & we’ve been told by the well driller this is normal & temporary but it has already left rust stains in one of my toilets. it also has a strong metallic smell. we’re still waiting for the results of the water tests to come back but in the meantime we’re researching filtration systems. however without knowing exactly what the levels are it’s hard to determine what type of system we’ll need. has anyone had a similar experience? any advice would be appreciated!
